greg
Greg was my oldest brother. I say was because he is no longer alive. He went missing in northern India in late 1995. He was on his way from Australia to visit my wife and I in Copenhagen, where we were living at the the time. We have never found him, but all the same I am certain he is dead. We went to India looking for him - in fact we went several times. My other brother and I went, he went with my mother, and my mother and I went. Three trips in two years, which yielded much and almost nothing.
I miss him still terribly. I was very close to him. That my children will never have him for an uncle greatly saddens me. He was very intelligent, incredibly motivated, and very passionate. He was one of the most perceptive people I have ever met, and one of the nicest as well.
It has been nearly nine years now. I will never forget him. I wrote a hypertext a while back about his disappearance. I think it's really good. You can view it here
Here is a picture of him, taken in Kashgar (he had just crossed from Pakistan into China on the Silk Road) sometime in the early 90s.
